SuperCamps programs will have a fun and positive environment. The first-class Coaches will promote self-confidence, sportsmanship, and team work with the campers while instilling the fundamentals of basketball and developing skills on the court.


Former Raptors Head Coach Butch Carter will speak to the campers about the game of basketball and its benefits.


Weekly Development Lessons

When: 8 Total Sessions on Saturday's - 

Where: Toronto Pan-Am Centre

Who: Youth (ages 9-12) 3:00-4:30pm

Teen (ages 13-17) 4:30-6:00pm

Price: $300.00 + HST (8 Sessions Total)

Details: Weekly Development Lessons will provide the kids with professional coaching to develop the fundamental skills of basketball. 

Some of the skills covered in the Weekly Lessons include

Shooting

  • Shot Foundation
  • The perfect form
  • Spot Shooting
  • Shooting on the move
  • Shooting off the dribble
  • Shooting with extended range
  • Shot fake
  • Free throws
  • Apply all of these aspects to game speed drillsteam competitions and team games.

Offensive 

  • The importance of being able to play basketball with both sides of your body; handle the ball with both hands equally as well and always keeping eyes up to see teammates and defenders on the court. 
  • We will work on how to get open on the offensive end with proper footwork, pivoting, and a series of go-to jab step moves that will help them create their own shot in any situation (very important for them to continue to keep working on them and developing the go-to jab moves)
  • Finishing around basket with either hand
  • How to use a change of pace, change of gears game as high level high IQ playmaker. Becoming hard to guard!

Defensive

  • Stance.  Defense starts with an athletic stance, we will teach and instill the proper stance for each camper. Fundamentals of footwork for defensive movement when guarding the ball and off the ball. 
  • Communication. Developing habits of communicating on the defensive end. 
  • Team Defense. 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 concepts for defense to improve campers basketball IQ and help

 Winter Break Basketball Shooting Academy

When: December 27-30, Day Camp 9:00am-3:00pm

Where: TBD

Who: Youth (ages 9-12) Teen (ages 13-17)

Price: $200.00 + HST (day camp)

Details: The Shooting Academy is a 4-day camp will provide campers with a state-of-the-art environment to help teach the proper shooting technique and mechanics for success.  Each day the campers will receive unique individual coaching from our first-class coaches. Campers will go through daily stations to build all-around basketball skills and fundamentals; dribbling, passing, ball handling, and rebounding. Campers will also learn the proper techniques to help them improve defensively and will play in live competition with 5-on-5 practices and games. Campers will be responsible for packing their own lunch and snack each day. The camp store will sell pizza, fruit, snacks, and drinks throughout the day to campers.

Special Guest Speaker and Instructor: former Head Coach of the Toronto Raptors and President of the Canadian Basketball League, Butch Carter.

Some of the skills covered in the camps include

Shooting

  • Shot Foundation. Building a solid foundation for your shooting stroke from the ground up, starting with balanced footwork, a strong base for power, and ending with an accurate follow through.
  • The perfect form. A routine for every time they walk in the gym. Make sure they are holding their follow through and doing it correctly while mentally preparing to confidently work on game-speed shooting to improve.
  • Spot Shooting. Catch and shoot as quick and as efficient as possible. Improving mechanics of shooting by consistently having hands and feet shot-ready for a quick release.
  • Shooting on the move. Developing the fundamental footwork to shoot accurately on the move.
  • Shooting off the dribble. Transitioning from a dribble move into your shot motion efficiently and accurately.
  • Shooting with extended range. How to get the most power naturally into their shot. Making adjustments if they miss a shot.
  • Shot fake. Teaching the most efficient and effective shot fake, how to create more open looks for yourself each game with the perfect shot fake and how to attack out of the shot fake and shoot off the dribble.
  • Free throws. Developing a routine and creating a confident mentality when at the line to shoot a high percentage.
  • Apply all of these aspects to game speed drills, team competitions and team games.

Offensive
